PROJECT SUMMARY
To refresh the consumer experience and reintroduce Cora Honey with a bold, memorable identity, we turned to nature’s original designer; the bee. In our design exploration, we found inspiration in the bee's abdomen, its iconic black stripes and organic structure. The result is a packaging form that not only mirrors the elegance and anatomy of the bee but also embodies control, excitement, satisfaction, and luxury.
PACKAGING CONCEPT
Form: Inspired by the shape of a bee's abdomen, the container naturally fits in the hand, offering a sense of control and comfort while pouring.
Stripes: The black stripe motif isn't just decorative. it's a functional design layer used to house bold, contrast-rich brand messages and information.
Feel: The smooth, matte-gloss texture mix offers a luxurious tactile experience, while the innovative form captures curiosity at first glance.
Experience: Opening the honey feels like unwrapping a treasure, each interaction feels intentional and rewarding.
Cora Honey Paste successfully established itself as a premium, health-conscious brand within just six months of launch, achieving a 35% increase in repeat purchases and a 50% growth in shelf visibility across key retail outlets. This 21st century is experiencing a surge for consumers' growing desire for control, ease and variety in the food, drinks, and lifestyle products, consumed daily. Consumers' expectations for FMCG brands to constantly innovate and roll out products that meet the expectations of the consumers, is on a high demand.
Honey is one out of a plethora of interesting products that have some untapped features to be further explored. Some buyers of some honey brands have made their concerns known through feedbacks about how less interesting, boring and generic in form the Packaging of some honey brands are and which has also lead to counterfeiting. To solve these problems of counterfeiting, the obvious answer was to create something exciting, a package that gives consumers complete excitement for control, a product that gives the consumers complete satisfaction and experience, finally a package that gives consumers a sense of luxury.
The Black Stripes on the bee's abdomen played a vital role in the design of the Cora Honey Packaging. The black stripes is used as a layer to convey and contrast vital marketing messages and the shape of the abdomen serves as a packaging form for the product content
